Senior Consultant, Climate and Nature
Make your mark on climate and nature. Lead projects with purpose, guide clients through change, and shape bold solutions with a team where sustainability is more than a buzzword.
Why Edge Impact?
At Edge Impact, our mission is simple and ambitious: to create a world where unsustainable is unthinkable.
We’re a team of passionate, collaborative, and courageous people who partner with leading businesses across industries to deliver positive global impact. We do this through the power of science, strategy, and storytelling, combining evidence, actionable plans, and inspiration to drive real change.
When you join Edge, you’ll work alongside smart, kind humans who care deeply about creating a better future for our clients, communities, and the world.
Your Role
We’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Climate & Nature team, someone with more than 3 years of hands-on experience in climate resilience, physical risk, and or nature-related strategy, ideally in a consulting or applied setting.
In this role, you’ll help clients understand and act on physical climate risks, support them as they navigate disclosure and adaptation, and contribute to shaping the evolution of our climate risk platform and capabilities.
You’ll lead projects, engage directly with clients, and, depending on your experience level, mentor and lead junior consultants.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and contribute to consulting projects focused on physical climate risk and nature-related strategy
- Act as a subject matter expert on physical climate risk – advising clients, reviewing outputs, and guiding direction
- Provide input into the development of our climate risk platform, helping shape methods, models, and usability (no coding required)
- Translate technical climate science into insights and solutions that clients can act on
- Support clients in interpreting climate projections, modelling assumptions, and scenario analysis
- Contribute to thought leadership, service development, and internal capability building
- Support proposal development and business development in the climate and nature space
What Good Looks Like?
- You’re known for your credibility in physical climate risk, internally and with clients
- You produce high-quality work that’s technically grounded and commercially useful
- Clients value your input and want to work with you again
- You help shape and guide the direction of our platform and offer
- You’re generous with knowledge and help others grow around you
What we’re looking for
Must-have
- 3 -5 years’ experience in climate risk, climate resilience, adaptation, or nature-related strategy
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving physical climate risk assessments, climate projections, or climate modelling
- Strong understanding of climate modelling assumptions and limitations
- Ability to translate technical climate information into clear and actionable advice
- Experience applying climate science to real-world decision-making, including disclosures or adaptation planning
- Experience in consulting or in-house advisory roles, with a focus on client delivery
- Strong communication skills, clear, confident, and collaborative
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with disclosure frameworks (e.g. ASRS/AASB, ISSB)
- Interest in emerging climate risk quantification methodologies
- Knowledge of the climate-nature interface and TNFD-related developments
- Exposure to digital platforms, modelling tools, or geospatial data
- Experience working across sectors or geographies
